So is Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone.
Anyway, bad news for sure, though expected. I heard about this last week, but it looks more official today.

Aww hell
*shakes my fist at ABC
No! Say it ain’t so!
Farewell, Pushing Daisies. You were far too good for this world.
scratches ABC off of television
Fuck you too. I hope your feeds get stuck on an endless loop of the little girl singing a love song to Harris Teeter for sixteen hours straight.
That’s what I get for liking a current television show.
Also:
Maybe that’s because they bumped it for two weeks straight? I forgot it was back on last night because of that crap. Can’t the CMT awards wait for midnight or something?
So can we assume it’ll be replaced by reality television?
Great. I like all three of those shows, although Dirty Sexy Money isn’t as good this year.
Not surprising. Still sucks ass.

I seem to recall reading that between the Strike last year and the new season, they didn’t repeat Pushing Daisies once during that whole time, so it didn’t build up a new audience.
Is that true?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Well, I had heard the rumours, but still… I am SO not happy about this! I love Pushing Daisies!

Damn, I’m sorry to see it go. According to the article, we may get a chance at some additional storylines (perhaps some resolution to the Ned/Chuck dilemma?) in comic book form, but of course a show like this will lose a LOT without the actors.
Here is a link to contact ABC and complain. Hopefully if they hear from enough people they will reconsider

Well, I’ll also miss “Eli Stone”. It had lots of interesting actors, and took some risks, plot-wise. Recently theres was a thread here in Cafe Society about the form of TV series - how maybe US series should be created as limited-term products, as they often are in the UK. Then the shows can be even riskier, and fans won’t be heartbroken, because they know the length of the series beforehand.
I’m seriously considering giving up TV (or at least paying for cable). This is just one more nail in the coffin. I’m positive there are better things that I could be doing with my life than watching Survivor and the like.
I should have known this would happen after the 1st episode. Way too different to survive the vast wasteland of sameness that is network TV.
sigh
Is there any hope that a cable channel like USA or Bravo might pick it up?
I told you guys what would happen, didn’t I? I told you. Check you local tv news coverage for the guy being escorted out of ABC studios tomorrow morning. That’ll be me.
I’m hoping for atleast a straight to DVD special which closes out the plot. I believe they are doing that for my other canceled show: Dead Like Me.
Thanks for that address, I just left a note telling them that I am unhappy with their decision and after the end of PD there are no other non-sporting shows on ABC that I watch.
Damn! I knew it was coming and still damn! I really loved Pushing Daisies. I’ll leave a comment for ABC but I doubt it will do any good.
Well I guess I am nearly weaned of network TV now. Chuck & Reaper are my last two.
Damn!
My comment:
Please give this show another chance. Try a different night. Maybe later would help it. It is the best show I have watched since Northern Exposure and I would really hate to lose it with only 22 episodes. It had an audience pre-strike, maybe it could still find one if you take a chance. Please no more reality shows. You are close to losing this 42 year old viewer for life.
Jim
Craaaaaaaaap.
(Well, I never got into Eli Stone so much. But craaaaaaaaaaap all the same.)
