Oh, I read post #11 too. But I got this out of it, not this. Which made the insistence that #11 was on to something very odd to me :eek:

Despite this, I think it’s a perfectly reasonable puzzle. For the naysayers, do you have any alternative answers that fit as well as the intended answer?
This thread has become quite topical as apparently the rocket carrying James Doohan’s ashes into space (for the third attempt!) exploded yesterday.
I wouldn’t call it a puzzle; I’d call it a trivia question. I thought my answer fit just as well as the intended one. 
I still think this is the best answer!

A petar is a type of bomb. The guy that set it up was called an enginer (or engineer.) If the bomb exploded too soon, then the engineer was hoist by his own petar. (It’s a quote from Hamlet, btw)
And Doctor McCoy said “I’m a doctor, not an escalator/ bricklayer/ engineer.”
