I would ask this in the PCRQ (Personal Computer Related Questions) forum but it doesn’t exist.
When I load outlook express or just outlook the splash screen shows for ages before the app loads. Sometimes it will be 2 minutes before the app apears.
Why is this and how do I put a stop to it?
Y’know this happens to me too. Very frustrating.
If you start up OE before you connent (I’m on dial up) all is fast.
After I’ve connected, the first time I start OE it waits and waits.
Subsequent times after I 've connected, it’s fast.
I’ve checked what’s running when this is happening and it appears (and I only suggest appears) to be svchost.exe which is churning away in hte background.
Very weird.
Unfortunately I have no answer (but I’ve been trying to work through what’s happening). I look forward to a real answer sometime soon.
