At what point did The Mended Drum become The Broken Drum? If you don’t know what I’m on about you certainly won’t know the answer.
I’m reading* Wyrd Sisters and a couple of characters are going into the Broken Drum. I’ve just finished reading* Night Watch and on the map of (old)Ankh-Morepork it’s called The Mended Drum. When did it change? Or have the history monks been at work?

Sometime between Sourcery and Wyrd Sisters, the Broken Drum is burnt down, and is rebuilt as the Mended Drum. According to the L-Space Web that is. See the entry for 1966.
I don’t have the books with me to check at the moment, but didn’t the name change occur after The Colour of Magic, when Ankh was destroyed by the fire started by the Drum’s landlord?
Yeah, I think that’s a more accurate pin-pointing of events.
Just recalled another posibility.
Alberto Malich destroys the Drum in Mort, after the landlord hassles him for a (VERY) old debt.
No, IIRC, Mort takes place after the Drum is rebuilt/renamed.
