Is there any way to get an “outside the body” overhead view of my character, while still playing the character in Quake 3 Arena?

Display the console at any point in the game (during game play or at any screen). Type /sv_cheats 1

Then:

Third person view - /cg_thirdperson 1
Change view range - /cg_thirdpersonrange <320-500>
Change view angle - /cg_thirdpersonangle <-360-360>

Thanks! I tried that but I keep getting the console reply “sv_cheats is read only” . It’s the full game, not a demo so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ll play with it some more. Thanks agaain!
