There’s a sequence of keys that you can press that, when you want to delete something, will cause a tiny little man to walk out from the left side of the screen and shoot what you intend to delete with a laser beam, resulting in a colorful explosion. Does anybody remember what it is?
Yeah, it’s SHIFT-OPTION-COMMAND-K (on a mac, anyway)
Make sure your object is selected before you do this though. And I think you have to have the “Move” tool selected. Damn, he’s cute.
I’m still looking for the key-command to turn Quark into an OSX Native app… still no dough… I’ll keep you posted.

I was filling out a skills questionnaire for a temp agency today, and I figured that if I was going to claim “Advanced” knowledge of Quark, I should know how to summon the little man if asked.
Do you know about the Easter Eggs in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop?
Teehee… Quark 5 beta has a melty wash erase instead of the lazer man.
another quark q: on the page layout window (where you see little icons for pages and their #s etc) what is the significance of a page having a A in the middle versus no A?
