I was hoping y’all might sign my guestbook and wish me luck an’ stuff?
We are at www.c2cr2c.com and Twicks says this is okay.
I’d appreciate all my Doper kiddos signing.
Thanks

Quasi – this was just stuck into the middle of another thread; I’m pretty sure you intended to start a new thread, so I took the liberty of doing that for you. Let me know if you want a different thread title.

Luck, Quasi!
I admire your stamina to be able to make a ride like that! Looking forward to the messages from the road!
Always lookin’ out for me, Twicks, aren’tcha?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Hon!
Love you!
Quasi/Bill
Best of luck to ya! I signed your guestbook but forgot to use this name, so Cyndi is me in case you wondered.
Thanks, Cyndi and everyone who signed.
Y’all know I had to go in there myself and explain what you meant when you called yourselves “Dopers”, right?;)
I didn’t want folks to think you were sitting there typing with a needle in your arm or smokin’ crack!
Thanks again. Y’all are GREAT!
Quasi
GO QUASI GO
Cheering you on from California my friend.
If I may post the link to the route you will be taking so anyone from the dope, can join in to ride with you for a bit, get to meet the Quas and cheer you on, that would be great.
Also just a mention that Bill (Quasi) still needs nightly accommodations along his route. If any of you wish to help with this or have a place for him to park and rest him and his helpers, please contact him first to see what nights are still open. This seems to be one of the last priorities, besides you Bill putting your feet to those peddles and getting your bod in shape.

You are a great group of people and was directed here from Bill’s blog.
Thanks, Becks
I’ll be on live with Mike Fry of Animal Wise Radio (http://www.animalwiseradio.com/) this Sunday from 2:15 to 2:30 EDT. I’ll be talking about my ride, my animal welfare advocacy, and fielding questions from Mike. I hope all my friends here will tune in and send me some good vibes.
Thanks

… from Wednesday, I’ll be on the road headed from Texas to Georgia once more.
The mods have kindly allowed me to post about my ride for moral support and I appreciate that because y’all know that everyone here is my friend and I love y’all bunches.
I have a Doper t-shirt a friend sent me that I want to wear for y’all at some point during the ride, just to show my love and respect, so please check in here sometime after I get back from the road on the 18th.
The website (www.c2cr2c.com) also has a multi-media page where you can click and hear me talk to you from the road. I hope you’ll have time to do that because there’ll be a special message for all my Doper friends on there. Just click the icon with the speaker and musical note after choosing from the list.
Thanks to everyone who signed the guestbook, and if you haven’t already please, if you have time, sign it for me. One of my sponsors has promised me a large donation if we make it to 5K signatures.
Also, a new Doper by the name of Billy Bazonka is also my webmaster for the site, so a special thanks to him for donating all his time and efforts to our success.
Thanks
Quasi
PS: You can also keep up with us on FB. Just put in c2cr2c
A correction up there, y’all. My sponsor actually said 5 thousand hits to the site, not sigs to the guestbook. My bad, but right now we’re at 3,833 hits and that ain’t too shabby!
This guy is an old college buddy, so I’d really like to “bleed” him for some major bucks!
Thanks

Maybe I’ll get to see some of you at Operation Kindness (which is my departure point) next Wednesday. I plan To leave at 10:00, so if y’all come a little early, we’ll have some time to chat and make some pics.
Also if y’all wanna, we can do a little phone thing where I can say who’s there and all, and it’ll be recorded for playback on the site. Should be fun, and it’d make my day (and that day’s ride) and be very special for me.
The OK shelter is at 3201 Earhart Dr. in Carrollton, TX
Thanks
Bill/Quasi
So let me see if I have this right… you’re leaving from Carrollton this Wednesday at 10:00. Is that correct? If so, I may see if I can get off work to come support ya! Thanks Bill and good luck.
Kemi~
Yeah, Wednesday the 8th, from Carrollton, TX, faithfool.
Let me explain that setting this up was a bit of a nightmare logistically, and we knew at the outset that not a lot of folks could be there to see me off, but that was okay because what it is ultimately about is:
So the conduit to bring this about is me speaking to the media at each stop about animal welfare, helping to raise awareness to the fact that we CAN stop the killing of the animals.
As to the scheduling:
I need that many days to complete the ride and it needs to begin on a weekday in Texas, because my home humane society’s entire campaign needs to end on a Saturday or a Sunday. Their fund-raiser culminates with my arrival and there’s a whole afternoon of activities planned relative to the ride and its purpose.
I know it will inconvenience some of my Doper friends to be there, but there really was no other way. In 2008, I began my ride right after sunrise, and again, not a lot of people could make it there to see me off. We offset that problem by having me arrive 2 days prior to the ride and speaking to area high school students, news media, etc.
Perhaps I should have mentioned this, but this time too, we arrive early in Texas:
Late on the night of the 6th (Monday). Then all day the 7th for news media, kids, etc.
So if you and any other Dopers would like to meet me, D and the other crew member, we’re free Tuesday evening if no one can make it to the roll-off at 10 Wednesday morning.
Thanks

I’ve asked for suggestions for tunes to ride by (not over headphones - I have this little speaker rig mounted on the handlebars and hooked into my mp3 player) and here’s one I thought of…
Thanks

Hey my friend, with less than eight hours left for you to depart for Carrollton TX back to Carrolltion GA, just wanted to wish you Dondra and Marty a safe and very successful ride.
All you dopers that have had and still have Quasi’s back, you can follow his ride on the website route page here: http://www.c2cr2c.com/route.html and listen to his call in from the road here: http://www.c2cr2c.com/audio/voiceClipsFlash.html
Ride like the wind Bill, with the spirit of the animals and your fans at your back.
Hi folks! Our friend **Quasi **sent me an email last night: as promised, here’s that photo of him proudly showing his SDMB pride!
Your friend Quasi loves you guys whole bunches!
Don’t know whether it’s the time of year (last time it was in April of 2008), my age or the route, but the ride is really kickin’ my ass this time.
The team is not letting me ride any further than 6 miles at a time - then a 5 minute rest…
I’m in West Monroe, LA tonight - leaving for Vicksburg MS in the am.
Love, Quasi
Sounds like you’re in good hands!
And sounds like he’s probably already through here. Darn.
