Quebec rock song: sounds like "To Quebec Sit"

I recently took a trip through Quebec and I heard some very catchy music, like “J’te gâte all dressed” by Bleu Jeans Bleu and “Gossip” by Lisa LeBlanc.

There was one song I liked that I’ve been having problems googling. The chorus has a call-and-response bit that sounded (to me) like “to Quebec sit”. Maybe it’s saying (in English) “To Quebec Cit(y)” with the final vowel sound clipped off.

Any ideas what the song might be? It sounded like it wasn’t an old song, likely from the last twenty years at the oldest. It was a peppy, up-tempo song, not moody or depressing.

What language was the rest of the song in?

The lyrics were in French, possibly with the occasional English word tossed in.

If all else fails, I can always try listening to Quebec City’s ÉNERGIE 98.9 FM (“Plus de classiques, plus de fun!”) and waiting for it to come around again.

How recently ?

Thanks, pjd! It was Jérôme 50 - Tokébakicitte.

Catchy.

And this reddit post seems to do a good job of explaining what that the main word Tokébakicitte means and its origin:

In short, it’s basically “MURICA,” but for Quebec.
