I’m not so sure the Emmett storyline concluded on the last episode. I thik the possibility still exists that she could find out about the affair.
I thought about the possibility of a Hunter suicide as well. I think it is unlikely but then again, his past is coming back to haunt him big time.
I still wonder if the storyline about Justin sticking the gun in the homophobes mouth is possibly going to show up again. That would make for an interesting ending to the season.
I’m getting really tired of Brian saving the day at the last minute. It is soooo predictable.
I would imagine the comic book movie may play a part as well, although it is another storyline that I don’t care much about.
I think Mel and Lindsay will work it out. As to the baby not surviving, that would be an interesting twist.
The Gay wedding in Toronto just made me re-evaluate my support of Gay marriage…I have never seen such a lame-ass proposal, acceptance and ceremony…and considering I live in Las Vegas, home of the cheesy Elvis weddings, that is saying a lot.
I cannot think of a single good thing to say about this episode. The plots have come to a screeching halt. Compared to Queer As Folk, Pollyana is starting to look edgy. I will only be watching the season finale in hopes a bear really does maim half the characters and eat a few of them.
Well there you go, because I had the opposite reasction. Even choked up a bit at the wedding, and anyone who knows me knows I’m hardly the sentimental type.
I missed why it was that Justin went to Hollywood but Michael didn’t? I mean the stated reason, not the meta-reason of “Michael needed to be in Toronto to get married.”
And speaking of Justin, yet another timber laid in the foundation of trust between him and Brian. Brian lies about doing the Liberty Ride to convince Justin to go to Hollywood. Because he can’t convince him to go without lying.
Hunter seems to have gotten over it rather quickly. Sigh.
I’m surprised that nobody has posted about the finale yet.
Color me unimpressed, with the finale and for the most part, with this season. Usually the finale has at least a couple of cliffhangers but not this time. Just boring ends to boring stories.
Ooooh, Melanie and Lindsay just might work it out. Sorry, but I’m not exactly on the edge of my seat waiting to find out.
They all finished the race, even Brian. Who could have guessed?
I am glad that Ted has been succesful at getting his life together. No problem there.
Gay Marriage. Topical and relatively interesting dialog about it. Debbie refusing to get married seemed a bit silly though.
Comic book movie. I guess there are some possible story possibilites there but for the most part, I’m far past caring about the comic book storyline.
It seems like some of the storylines that I did think were interesting this season, were just left to fizzle out. Justin and the pink posse. I thought for sure he was going to jail for putting the gun in that guys mouth. Also, the football player thing could have played out more interesting, such as if the football player was outed. Instead, it just suddenly ends.
Yeah, the season ended both with a bang (the newlyweds) and a whimper.
I wish Ted would, like, die or get kidnapped by the mob or something. Anything other than his horrible whiny recovery storylines. That whole meeting in the wilderness thing about made me want to open a vein. And it took screen time away from the most important thing, Justin hooking up with the Hollywood hottie. Ah well, perhaps next season when Justin moves to LA.
Brian’s little lurch toward maturity interested me. We’ll see if the writers remember it next year.
Maybe Mel and Lindsay’s breakup will be an excuse to demonstrate that there are more than two lesbians in Pittsburgh. I wonder if Showtime’s given any thought to crossing over with The L Word?
I liked the idea of Debbie’s refusing to get married as long as Michael and Ben can’t. There’s a mini-movement among some progressive clergy who are refusing to perform marriage ceremonies for mixed-sex couples until they can marry same-sex couples legally, and there was some talk about suggesting that mixed-sex couples not get married as a show of support so there is some basis in reality.
Meh, they handled the storylines this season the way they do every season. The arcs tend to run about three episodes, sometimes four, never to be seen again.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually been able to finish a whole season of QaF. Period. I always lose steam around the middle and end up reading synopses rather than wasting 45 minutes of my life slogging through the damn thing each week.
I’m not sure why this happens. Seriously. I just lose all interest by about the 6th or 7th episode.
