I loved that series. I saw it at a film festival last year (the entire series). Is it showing somewhere else now? Is it the original Brittish cast or some bastardized American version? I loved the initial rim scene in the first episode. I found that hard to believe that even European tv would show.

I have only caught some of the series, and I missed that show!
Its on Showcase, a canadian version of HBO. The same blessed folk that bring us canucks OZ.
How does it end sqrl? Do stewart and Vincent get together? Why is Stew so unhappy?
Nope, I won’t tell you that since it will ruin it for you if you are still watching. I will just say that it was one of the best series I have seen and I haven’t been able to find an American DVD version of it since the Brittish DVDs run at some goofy electronic thing and won’t work here. The teenage kid that you met has a big part in the series so keep watching him. I found that I could relate to him well. It has been a while so I don’t remember all the characters names. Tell me the guy who lives in the nice apartment that is slutty but everyone wants him, his bestfriend whom he doesn’t have sex with, and the teenage boy and I will try to tell you some more without giving away any of the plot. Oh, also tell me what you have seen so far.

Sqrl - the US is Region 1 for video and DVD, the UK is Region 2. You need a particular kind of DVD player that will let you play both (those machines are a fairly recent innovation that Hollywood isn’t happy about). They are out there, legal and in the shops.
It was shown in full on British tv and without a murmer of dissent as far as i know. You might also want to check out ‘This Life’ - you’ll get addicted !!
Sqrl - I probably can’t get you a DVD, but I can get you VHS tapes. We slashchicks LOVE this show.

Lemme check. I’ll email some people tonight and see who has what…SOMEONE out there should have all of both seasons. Or know someone who does. It’ll be cheap too…traditional rate for copying tapes for all of us is the cost of the tape, plus shipping. This is how I got every episode of Highlander.

Well, since this thread is goin in several directions already, lets take it in another. Falcon, I know you are a fan of Homicide. I have the first three (maybe four?-I’ll have to check) seasons on tape. Do you have the rest? Does anyone?
Hrmmmm…my roomie does, but two problems. One, I’m 90% sure they’re not in order. Two, I can’t copy tapes…only have one VCR. I’ll post on my Homicide list and see what people have.
Funny, you can rent them from my local queer video place. I think you can buy them, too, can’t you? Might want to check http://www.tlavideo.com - they’ve got a fantastic selection. I thought I saw them in their catalog, but I might be wrong.

I saw the first British series on video, and I’m going to see the second British series at the Image & Nation gay film festival on Oct 1. But I’d love to see the US version! (It was filmed in Toronto!)
