Queer Eye - final two episodes air 10/30

After several years and just over 100 episodes, Queer Eye is coming to an end tonight with the final two episodes airing on Bravo. In some ways a revolution, in others a reinforcement of stereotypes. We certainly had some fine discussions of the show around these boards especially when it first hit the air. Bravo’s been rather unceremoniously burning off the last ten episodes this month at the rate of two a week, and tonight is it. I fell out of the habit of watching it somewhere around the Vegas wedding episode, but I plan to tune in tonight to bid a fond farewell to the Fab Five.

I would prefer, if your intention in opening the thread is to slam the show in general or the people who enjoyed it, that you turn around and leave the thread now. Thanks.

I haven’t watched this in ages. I really loved the show in the first couple of seasons. After a while, though, it seemed like the straight guys were not as in desperate need of help as the guys earlier on. There were some serious problem men in that first season or two.

Maybe I’ll try to catch these. I miss Ted–so cute, so funny–and he cooks!

Well, those were nice episodes on which to end the series. A charity guy helping kids and a former rocker reunited with his dad after like three decades. Sweet.
