I enjoy Queer Eye very much, but something puzzles me about it. And that would be the timeline.
I get the impression that the Fab Five arrive at the victim’s home at around 10AM, and leave him at aroung 4PM. In these 6 hours, they take the victim clothes shopping, get him groomed, go food shopping, go for lunch at Chez Snoot for a lesson in how to use a finger bowl, and build furinture. At the end of all this, the victim is expected to entertain a lady friend (usually), and spend a night in heart (and other organ) pounding romance.
I get exhausted just thinking about it. Hell, if I have a date at night, I’ll take a nap that afternoon. I’d better have my outfit picked out and ironed by the previous fiscal year.
On top of this, we’re expected to believe that Thom has remodeled, repainted, and redecorated an entire loft apartment in this time – and that the paint has dried by the time the victim has gotten home! Of course, he does this all by himself.
I’ve seen nothing on this show to indicate that it doesn’t take place all in one day.
But there’s now way that it can.
So what’s the dope? Do they put the victim (and his family) up at thr Ritz for a week? Is there a crew of Fab Twelve-more that we don’t see come in with nailguns and spackle knives? Or do these people have far more energy and efficiency than I can ever dream of?
