After the bomb set off by the renegade army guys, the one alien says the other one has begun the dying process or something like that.
Was that supposed to be because of the explosion? The “aquarium wall” seemed to be intact afterwards. Was the second alien dying because of the explosion?

I think he (it?) said the other alien was “in the death process.” And yes, all indications are the Army mutineers’ explosion is what did it.
