In Davy Jones’s Locker, Captain Jack Sparrow tells the crew that four of them tried to kill him in the past, and one of them succeeded. I know that three of them are Will, Elizabeth, and Barbossa, but who is the fourth?
I thought he was referring to Tia Dalma - there’s obviously some tumultuous history between them referred to in Dead Man’s Chest.
That was one of my guesses, too. However, I had no proof and I wondered if there was some other person whose attempt on Sparrow was more clear.
What???
He means Elizabeth Swan.
She killed him by handcuffing him to the mast in Dead Man’s Chest.
Please tell me this is not another obvious point people don’t get. Anyone else remember when some people thought the end of Spielberg’s A.I. featured aliens instead of robots?
Obviously, she killed him. But who was the fourth person to try? That’s what the OP is asking.
Well, that was more than less than unhelpful.
Are we sure he said “four” (It’s been a while) ?
Hi, I’m Mahaloth.
I’m dumb.
:smack:
I read it wrong!
This time I can be of some actual help.
I just checked and here is the quote.
“Why should I sail with any of you? Four of you have tried to kill me in the past, one of you succeeded.”
Yes, the line is four and I also am now wondering what he meant.
It must be Tia Dalma, though. He walks up to her and says, “As for you…”
She says, “Tell me you didn’t enjoy it at the time.”
