Have you ever noticed that Dagwood’s chair is facing the TV and Blondie’s chair is perpendicular to his? She has to turn her head to the right and look over her shoulder at him. Does she never watch TV? Is it bad for a woman to watch TV? She should only be doing mending and always be ready to hop up and stir something in the kitchen? She should never relax and watch TV? Or she always lets him choose what to watch and isn’t interested in it?
She is obviously the smarter half and far to smart to be taken in by the terrible network crap Dagwood watches. She spends a good chunk of the day educating herself on Internet and in Time Before Internet; reading.
Some blondie history
It allows her to avert her eyes quickly, in case it’s going to be one of those Lucy episodes where she kisses that Cuban fella.
They’re each watching their own TV, having found the ideal solution to the age-old marital problem of Who decides what they get to watch on TV.
Not likely. Blondie Boopadoop was a dance hall girl, one of those Flappers. She’s seen it all, and done it all! A little TV kissin wouldn’t phase a major league skank like her.
I’m running this off to Cafe Society (but trying to avoid the mailman at the same time).
GAH! ::Scott goes flying off his feet, as SkipMagic rushes past/collides with him. Letters go flying everywhere.::
