Is there any way for me to prevent my e-mail address from being displayed publicly? I don’t want to show my e-mail but I do want to receive notices using a specific e-mail address.

Click on “UserCP.”
Click on “EditOptions.”
Under “Messaging and Notification,” look for “You can allow other members to send you email messages.” Uncheck that box.
If you are also not interested in being “friended,” uncheck the box where it says, “If you do not want to receive an email for each request of friendship, you may disable this option.” Unchecking the box disables that option.
Going down the list likewise enables or disables the private message function, you can have as much or as little interaction as you like.
When you’re through go all the way down to the bottom of the page and hit the “Save Changes” button.
