How the hell do I get the fire engine to put out a fire? What button or sequence of buttons do I push? I’m about ready to kick in the monitor, but then I tell myself, “Calm down, it’s just a computer game, it has no relation to reality.”
Occsasionally I believe myself when I say it, but not often.
Read the instuctions that came with the game when you bought it. It tells you there.

i think it’s right-ctrl button or the numberpad’s enter.
you can also look for the specific button in the control config section. I think it’s in the option section and you can alter all the button’s to your liking.
the manual can help but isn’t really needed. Just look thru the options and controls configuration sub-option. I hope that helps. If you don’t know how to get there, just hit esc button when ur in the game, look for it on the menu and configure away. If you can’t do that you may need to have your brain reconfigured hehe.
It’s the same button you use to do drive-by shootings, whatever youve got that configured to. Just press it while looking forward instead of sideways. You can also use the keypad to steer the turret, although I usually just leave the turret pointing forwards and steer the whole truck at the fire instead.
