When you vote in a message board polls, do you read the replies first? There’s no trick here; I’m trusting you to be honest.
And, while I’m at it, I’ll ask if you look at the results of the polls, too.

It depends on the poll. If the validity of the poll depends on my not peeking then I’ll answer right away. Other times I might just read the thread and vote later, or not vote at all.
All of the above, but the first option 90% of the time.
I’ve been caught out before answering one question only to find that the OP contains quite a different question, so now I always read the OP.
I’ll agree with tdn, about 90% of the time I read the OP and then vote but sometimes I want more information before I vote. The Rhymer™ polls often fall into the list of those that require reading the thread before voting. Sometimes I’ll even post and discuss before making up my mind days later.
I’ve never actually looked at the results before voting however. Maybe I will now
Same here.
I read the OP, and usually the first few replies as well, to make sure I am understanding the question and its ramifications. I hate voting only to realize I would have voted the other way if I’d thought a bit more or read more carefully. If it’s something I’m on the fence about, I’ll keep reading until I have an opinion one way or another. Unless the poll is something like “Was G.W. Bush I the greatest president who ever lived?” Then I will boldly vote without even reading any replies.
I voted “I read the OP first, then vote” although I didn’t read the OP first in this poll. It depends on if the poll is worded so that no further info is required.
I read the OP and vote. I then make my way through the thread reading the replies but I only reply myself if no one else has made the point I was intending to make. Well, usually. Sometimes I quote some really sage member and claim they beat me to it.
I vote in my head.
Look at the results to see it’s not a public poll.
Go back and tick off my original choice.
Cool. I was wondering because I tend to respond in poll threads with assumption that anyone reading has already voted, and it dawned on me that that might be a mistake. For example, I’ll make a post about the current results of a poll, even if I think knowing the results before voting might mess something up.
Nice to know that’s not usually a problem.
Same here. I don’t have any problem being the first to answer, but I do hate when I misunderstand and vote wrong.
