Question about Office Space

Peter: Before we go any further, we gotta swear to God, Allah, that NOBODY knows about this but us. No friends, no girlfriends, nobody.
Lawrence: Don’t worry man, I won’t tell anyone either!
Michael: Who the fuck is that?!
Peter: Nah, don’t worry about him, he’s cool.

Curse you, simul-post.

By the way, for those that don’t know, Mike Judge (writer/director of Office Space, and creator of Beavis and Butthead) was Joanna’s boss who lectured her about the flair.

Before someone looks it up and says “NO HE WASN’T THAT’S SOME OTHER GUY NAMED WILLIAM KING”, yes, it is Mike Judge - a myriad of sources, including IMDB, confirm this.

(Similarly, Dustin Hoffman and Michael Jackson were on The Simpsons too, even though they were never listed under their real names.)

You’re thinking of Casino, another Scorcsese/De Niro/Pesci film.

Trivia:

The guy who kicks him (Frank Vincent, I believe) is the made man who Pesci et al kill in Goodfellas. He’s also the promoter that Pesci kicks the living shit out of in Raging Bull. Both times Vincent suffered from cracked/broken ribs. In Casino, Pesci suffers a broken rib when he was thrown in the grave.

I think the young people enjoy it when I “get down” verbally.

Stranger

I never actually saw either movie, i just remember the baseball bat scene and couldn’t remember the movie. Oops.

“Thats it, the last straw. I’m going to set the building on fire”

“Welcome to Chochkey’s!”

“Looks like someone’s got a case of the Monday’s!”
"Lawrence, you ever hear anyone say at work ‘look’s like someone’s got a case of the Monday’s?’?
“No. Hell no. I do believe a person could get his ass kicked for talkin’ like that”

This is one of my favorite movies.

I think the scene is a spoof, or homage, of a similar scene in one of those early 90s gangsta movies like ‘Boyz in the Hood’, though I’m not sure which one. I know I have seen the same slow-motion POV beatdown in several rap music videos, which I think are also copying the same original scene.
