Sorry about this in advance if somebody has asked this before, but after searching, I couldn’t find it readily available. I was just wondering how some of these people that have only been here for a few months have post counts over 1000 and 2000. Can anybody tell me? Thanks. Bye!! 
Because they post like mad. Nothing more to read into it. Just apparent boredom.
Some posters have wisdom, intelligence and compassion that just flows naturally from their fingertips and oozes from their pores. Others are the tall, silent, laconic type that only post when words are absolutely necessary. It takes all kinds to make a message board.
Sometimes there’s a trick to it when the name changes.
For Portnoy, a search only shows some 68 threads, but the count is up to 1500. That’s because he used to be Mr.Cynical, with 800+ threads.
But mostly, it looks like that boredom/wisdom thing.
On my first day, I posted 50 times.

I had a couple of hours to kill and it just rolled out of me.
(As you may have guessed, I’m more used to chat rooms. Here, some threads can go unanswered for a day, which is like playing chess by mail.)

He saw people changing their signature blocks and decided to “answer” other posters that way.
Eventually, he got tired of that and got a new name X-files, and posted a lot of fun stuff that I really liked.
Then he got into some stupid fight and demanded to be banned so he could go out in flames.
Sigh. Well, I guess none of us will be here forever, except maybe Handy. And of course Cecil.
