What is going on with my post count?

A few months back, my post count was hovering in the neighborhood of 500-700. 750, tops. Last week, I broke the 1000 mark, and today (with this post) I’m at 1023.

Now, I counted back to the post where I noticed passing 1000, and it was only 18 posts. I also don’t remember being so active on the board in the past few months that I posted 250 times, let alone the nearly 500 needed to come up from my low-end estimate.

There’s some kind of weird voodoo going on here.

We do this, from time to time, just to screw with your mind.

But, seriously, I have no idea. I"ll have a look in a bit, when I get caught up.

Your first post to the boards was 6-15-06. You made 750 posts between then and 1-22-07. About 100/month.

You posted about 300 times between 1-22-07 and now. That’s only about 20/month or so. Looks like you’re slowing down.

You can actually read all of these posts. If you want to deny making them, please contact Hal Briston, our resident trouble shooter in charge of strange posts.

Thanks for the analysis. It just didn’t… feel right, but I guess it looks like I posted that much. Here’s hoping my employers don’t notice.

I just tried looking back to my first post and counting from there, but it looks like it only shows the last 750 posts.

You can get around that by changing the sort order. If you show oldest first, it will return the first 750 that you posted. As long as you aren’t over 1500, that will allow you to see all of them.

For those with more than 1500, you can always break the searches down by forums. Of course, there is this wait between searches thing that makes that annoyingly slow.

The system will only display a maximum of 750 posts at one time. You can have lots, lots more; you just have to manipulate the parameters to get to them.

Changing my name to InvisibleDSYoungEsq.

Oh, we see you and appreciate you, too. Don’t be so modest.
