Question about the movie "Dogma"

In this movie, ‘double ohs’ appear all over the place. That is, two 'o’s in a row. They show up in game names, food names, the boardroom shootout, etc.

Anyone know the significance of these two letters?

I can’t really think of any, but if you could be a bit more specific, it’d probably help.

As for the food names and the board-room shootout, realize that the company that was being shot up was the same company that owned and operated the fast-food joint the group ate at earlier, so any similarities between the names and symbols are intentional- it’s the same organization, after all.

Just confirming that my ass is, in fact, the wisest part of my body.

I sure should have been more specific.

I wasn’t refering to the boardroom/fast food connection (although that counts as one occurance of ‘oo’). There was also a game, and several street signs contained names that had double ohs. It’s been a while, so I can’t remember the specifics, but I do remember that I noticed a lot of them.

Well, its not up to the level of the 42s in almost every episode of Voyager…

Well duh. 42 is the answer. No sci-fi writer worth his salt is oblivious to that…

what is this about the 42s in voyager? What have I been missing? I am fairly 42 spastic!

It’s 47 in Voyager, not 42. They appear in Next Gen and DS9, as well.

I’ve got a little black book with me poems in. I’ve got a bag, toothbrush, and a comb.

Didn’t notice the double oo’s, or 47 in ST.

But I thought it pretty funny that the board room members were “worshipping” a statue of a golden cow - Mooby Cow. And did everyone catch the similarity of appearance to the world’s most famous mouse?

I think that was the point, Irishman. That our society engages in idol worship to some degree and doesn’t even know it. Mickey Mouse represents Corporate America’s (and everyone else’s) preoccupation with money, etc. Making it “Mooby the Golden Cow” was just an attempt to make an obvious (and ironic) connection to the bible…
