It isn’t. Planck’s constant is 6.626068 × 10^-34 kg*m[sup]2[/sup]/s . Nor is it a good question to ask why it has that value, since all you’re really asking about then is the size of meters, seconds, and kilograms, and those are purely arbitrary human constructs. I think that the question you were aiming for is why is the fine structure constant equal to 1/137.03599976… But we’re not really sure how valuable that piece of information would be: It might help in our understanding of fundamental physics, but then again, it might not.
what’s 21/π X 2π
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?
Seriously, to understand the answer to the question you don’t even know to ask:
It would take a MUCH greater brain than the ones we humans have now.
It would be like trying to explain the stock market to a cock roach.
Isn’t this how religion got started in the first place? In our human arrogance; anything we can’t or are incapable of understanding; we slap a supernatural label on it.
This, itself, **is **the question.
But why are you assuming that there are “hidden” things that need to be revealed? Maybe all we need has been in plain sight, all along.
“What is the nature of existence?” would be a good starting point, or “Why are there things, instead of nothing?”, but you’d probably have to expend your second wish on upgrading your mind to be able to fully comprehend the answers.
You do realise if you ever find out the Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, you might not like the answer.
So what? That sort of thing happens to me all the time.
We are capable of knowing all, we are just looking in all the wrong places.
Spirituality got started through experience, then religion was invented to control it. Never worked very well though.

What do you mean by ‘all’?
For the love of all that is good and rightous, I beg of you not to go there.
I know…it’s like an itch you just can’t scratch. But it’ll all end in tears.

What is one question, that if answered, would reveal everything that is hidden about Life, the Universe, and Everything?
“Who am I, where am I, and what the fuck is going on?”

What do you mean by ‘all’?
That means the sum total or the whole amount of places being looked at doesn’t contain the information wanted.
Luke 17:20: Jesus said:
The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Now change the words “Kingdom of God” to “knowledge of all things” and you will know where to look.

“Who am I, where am I, and what the fuck is going on?”
You got part of it right, if you knew who you were the rest would be clearly apparent.

So could ‘all’ include, say, information about the precise location, composition, behaviour and provenance of every fundamental particle in the universe? If so, how could that information be stored in something smaller than the universe?

Why would it need to be?
There is only one particle of which everything is made, there is only one force. It is man that makes everything difficult. Oh, yes, time and space are only temporarily created by linear physical events. When the physical passes so does time and space. Simple.
Well, after a couple days of letting my OP stew in dopers minds, I return to find that everyone is just as dazed and confused as I am*. Good to know.
As for the possibilities of what receiving the answer to the unaskable question might yeild…

Stranger your post clearly shows that you have your priorities in life in the proper order and I’d tip my hat to you if I were wearing one.
*At least no one asked Where are we going and how’d we all get into this handbasket?
Why is Planck’s constant = 6.626068 × 10^-34?
An answer to that would go a long way toward explaining the fundamental structure of the universe as well as whether it was constructed or came spontaneously into being.
No, I’d ask why is pi such a silly number. Although it’s along the same lines.
Honestly, I’m quite sure the answer will be either “Because” or much worse, “Oops”, neither of which I really want to hear.

[post=6581337]Actually…[/post] It’s all part of the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. Now, where’d that cat go?

Try me, we’re going to die anyway, and all will be erased. If anything, maybe I would like to know the answer, just so I could tell my religious grandmother, “I told you so!”

I think that “What is the reality of the existance of life after death?” is too limited, as is "What is the purpose of life?
I agree with this 100%. There is no meaning. We’re so insignificant it’s not even funny. We’re specs of dust in relation to how big everything is. One planet, in one solar system, in one galaxy, has formed us. Big deal. There are billions of billions of galaxies that could have done the same thing a million times over. And we’re not even sure that other intelligent life may, or may not exist, somewhere else in our own galaxy. We can’t even see it, that’s how small we are. But because it’s just us, we assume we are the one and only. BS, we’re nothing.
I would tend to ask: Where did all of this start, and where is all of THAT stuff contained? And further, where is THAT place contained? It’s claimed that it started with the Big Bang. Meh. What kicked that off? And where did the elements from the Big Bang come from? And where did those elements to form the elements of the Big Bang come from, and how were they formed, and where were the ingridients for those formed? …and on and on.
I have a feeling that your three wishes are not enough to answer this question. Although, I wouldn’t go as far as to say we couldn’t comphrehend it, should we find the answer. We’re just ignorant of what’s involved. Of course, having half the world believe in a “god always was” view, is certainly not helping the cause. It would help you run for President though.
