Questions about those yellow stickers in cars

Radio personality Adam Carolla is fond of ranting about a number of things relating to our overly litigious society. One thing he has ranted about is those yellow airbag warning stickers in cars. No matter how much he spends on getting a car with a nice interior, they all have the same ugly yellow stickers.

Now, in my car they’re just stick-on stickers, but I assume they’re something else in some other cars, particularly since Carolla rants about struggling with steam or something to try to get rid of his. I was wondering, is it illegal for me to take mine down? It doesn’t say anything like that on the sticker. I wouldn’t throw them away, I would keep them in the glove box or something. I imagine it would be wise for me to put them back up if I were to sell the car. They are sort of ugly though, and I was just thinking about that and noticing that I can just peel them off.

It’s your car, do what you want to it.

You can’t really do this either.

Also a mention about the law on these stickers at the bottom, but I can’t claim it as a ‘cite’ for the discussion of the law in this matter.

I covered mine up with other stickers which look nicer. Got them here. I’ve actually bought a lot of silly stuff from that site to trick out my interior
