Surely there are? Otherwise people wouldn’t spend time doing it. Or painting their nails, or washing their boats, and other things which aren’t necessary for survival.
The fact that people do things doesn’t mean they don’t have more pressing concerns. I mean, I trimmed my beard today, but I also went to work.
Okay. Here’s an example: I like to paint my nails, but I rarely have time to do that. I might find the time only once or twice a year. I usually have more pressing concerns.
Does that help?
I think you missed my point, but in an effort to not hijack the thread any further, I’ll let it go.
I’ll make you another deal. Those of us who think body hair on females is gross and unfeminine won’t state our opinions and preferences as fact and neither will the side that wants to mate with cavewomen.
Most people’s schedules are not filled to the second with pressing concerns.
I guess the only answer I have is I like pussy. hair or no hair. as long as its clean and over 18.
Okay, sorry, me too.
So, back hair is manly and sexy? Should I braid it… or is natural better?
“he had imagined women were quite different to what he saw I was, and that the reason he did not make me his Wife was because he was disgusted with my person the first evening April 10th. (1848)”
art critic John Ruskin’s wife, whose marriage wnet unconsumated, reportedly because she wasn’t as slick as the Greek statues he so admired
A FOAF told how he was making the dive down on a gal only to be taken aback by her foliage. Beckoning him hither to love’s wilder shores, she reportedly told him “Aw go ahead: it’s nature’s dental floss!”
No, it’s feminine, apparently.

To answer the question, I’m gay and have been puzzled by male-female interactions. I’ve also been puzzled at how women go through a ritual of shaving, grooming, plucking hair that grows naturally in order to get a mate. It’s clear, however, from reading this thread that the majority of women do this voluntarily. I still think I would be pretty pissed if I were a woman and had to go through a ritual like that.
The only vagina I’ve seen in real-life has been changing my sister’s diaper when I was a teenager. My recollection is that vagina looks awfully plain and wanted to understand more about it from another (albeit heterosexual) man’s opinion.

The hair on your head grows naturally, but I presume you get it cut from time to time, in part to attract a mate, yes?
-
An adult vagina has a bit more going on than an infant’s, particularly during arousal. From my point of view, there’s nothing particularly fancy about a penis. Well, except mine, which is fabulous.
If they can see your vagina, you’ve pretty much already attracted the mate.
I think you made a huge assumption by thinking that it’s done to get a mate. I can only speak for myself when I say that my choices, especially when it comes to pubic hair, are my own and for what is convenient, comfortable, and wanted by me. If a guy I’m interested in doesn’t like those choices, there are plenty of ladies who will accommodate him.
*Having *a vagina is enough to catch a mate.
And yet, when we guys make this claim, we’re repeatedly told it just ain’t so.
How about this? I’ll say when I see shaved pubes on either a male or female it reminds ME of naked children and I find the bald pubic area gross; however I don’t find the person who has shaved them gross at all. It’s just hair. But when I look at the shaved area it looks like my six year old daughter. (Maybe that’s why it bugs me? Maybe it’s because I was molested at six. Who knows. It’s a personal thing much more than an aesthetics thing.)
And in return you people who shave are welcome to see my kinky red pubes as gross, but do you have to reject us as potential partners just because of a little hair? Where’s the love, RNATB? Where’s the love?
Forget the whole shaved/unshaved: how do you guys feel about Vajazzling?
