Wouldn’t it be okay to use the singular possessive if you were talking about a single Beatle? Say, for example, “That’s a Beatle’s drum kit”?

Why wouldn’t it be okay?

Because saying, “That’s a Beatle’s drum kit,” instead of, “That’s Ringo’s drum kit,” sounds weird?

Are you saying that Ringo’s drum kit sounds weird?

How did Ringo’s drumming compare to that of Keith Moon or John Bonham?

Are we talking “drumming” as in the 19th-century usage of the word?
