Quick Outlook 2007 question

In the Navigation pane, how does one go about getting the calendar (this part, not the To Do List) to display at the top left, above the Mail button, when the Mail view is active?

My coworker asked me to fix this for her this morning; she swears she used to have it set up like this, and that it disappeared this morning (the Read pane was missing as well, so something did change, at least). I turned the Read pane back on, but I can’t find a setting or custom view that would put the calendar there. It’s possible that she’s just misremembering — my original guess was that she was thinking of the way the Calendar view normally appears — but I thought I’d throw the question out there before advising her to just deal.

Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve worked with Outlook for years and have taught and written tutorials about it, and I’ve never seen the minicalendar display with the Inbox, nor have I seen any setting for it. Could be it’s possible, but it would be news to me.

Why isn’t the To-Do Bar sufficient? It’s the same thing … just on the right instead of the left.

Search me, but that’s what she wants. With your experience I’m sure you can appreciate how people are set in their ways, with no exception for those ways that are, technically speaking, impossible, because “I had it like that yesterday!”

As for my involvement, I’m the department tech guy (not IT, precisely, but to the technically-uninclined any brand of computer geek will do), so I’m expected to know these things. Thanks for your response…if nothing else, I appreciate the validation.

oh yah. Been there, done that, got the shredded, blood-stained t-shirt. :stuck_out_tongue:
