Not a Ramones fan, but I respect their place in punk music.
He’s just doing it to get ahead of The Beatles.
Not that he has anything to worry about. Ringo will live forever. And Keith Richards with bury him!
God just must have decreed “There Shalt Be No Old Ramones”…
Damn, I am just sick to death of this people dying shit. 
The Ramones’ rotating drum seat appears to have all of its occupants alive and well: Tommy, Marky, Richie (and Blondie drummer Clem Burke, who planned on becoming Elvis Ramone but was dumped after two pitiful shows with the band). And latter-day bassist C.J. is still alive, I think.
He’s obviously decided they’re too good for this world after all.
If only “Too Tough To Die” were true.
