I thought I didn’t’ have an odd and specific thing. I like a wide range of not odd attributes. Then I remembered. Women in uniforms. Military, law enforcement, fire fighter, mail carrier. Any uniform. No idea where that came from. (Note. I never dated a woman who wore a uniform.)
My wife used to have me open jars, well still does, but it’s a team effort now.
I got nerve damage in my left arm and hand, Not only is this making touch typing harder, I’ve lost about 50% of my strength in my left hand, and most feeling in two fingers.
So my wife can grab the jar with both hands, and I take the top off with my right hand.
I have an unusual tendency to find admiration in things people are usually insecure about. It’s completely coincidence but after I noticed it with a few different people, I couldn’t deny it. A random real example: I used to work in bars and a regular customer was in one night. I was like “I really love your smile!" They’re response was "I hate my teeth.” I’ve had several occasions where it’s happened.
Yeah, beards are usually a turn-off for me, too. Woman attracted to men. But we watched an old Donald O’Connor pirate movie a few weeks ago. Now, D O’C is not someone I’m attracted to. He’s got a good personality and physicality, but otherwise, no. But in one scene he was masquerading as someone else with darker hair and a van Dyke beard, and, man, he was sexy! So, little beards can be o.k. Big bushy long beards? Vomit.
That’s funny because I think nobody would think twice if a woman said she liked a man in uniform. I mean, I do. But there’s a little twist when it’s men liking women in uniform.
Which reminds me: religious men. I’m not all that religious, and I’m an atheist, but I think faith can be sexy.
I have a big bushy, unkempt beard, for precisely that reason.
I do not want to attract romantic attention; the pain from my divorce is still with me. Hopefully I will shave it before I get roped into being Santa, but it is getting whiter and whiter all the time.
