That is awesome.
Was she, like, 11 months pregnant when they shot that?
I could swear she’s not due for another month or so. It doesn’t seem that long ago I saw her and Gianni announce she was pregnant on their channel.
It actually took me about a quarter way through the Mumford video before I realized why it was awesome.
Stretching the definition of both “music video” and “cameo”, but this fun BBC ad has a ton.
Call me crazy, but I love How Do You Do, between Maggie MacNeal’s gorgeous smile, Mouth looking stoned out of his gourd (like he is in this version), the crowd getting into it, the creepy doll, the cute kid at the end, just a lot of fun.
The best thing about that video is that those women have the worst rhythm I have ever seen. But something tells me the men admiring those women aren’t worrying about counting the beat.
About 90 seconds in I was in a coma. Does something actually happen?
OH I see now. I heard those guys made a video making fun of MAS.
And this music video shows you what the Robert Palmer video models do to unwind after work. (Actually, this video came first.)
Don’t get alarmed by the few seconds of white screen at the beginning, there is nothing wrong with your computer. You’ll see why it’s there.
Are we sure they could hear the music? A lot of the time, there’s no music playback during filming if they aren’t shooting a choreographed production number.
Wow, thanks for this. I have now watched it ten times. I am mesmerized. Seriously!
I *love *the minimalistic display of raw talent. No electronics, no gimmicks. One-take. Just a girl with her instrument. She reminds me of Joni Mitchell in the late 1960s.
Musicians will spend tends of thousands of dollars on a music video, yet most don’t come close to the awesomeness of this video, which was probably produced for nothing. It’s the definition of true talent.
“I Wanna Be Sedated” by The Ramones
A good one by a band nobody has heard of - Please Take My Scissors Away by The Singing Loins.
And a couple by Richard Thompson - I Feel So Good and Let it Blow (Directed by Henry Kaiser)
I can’t choose just one.
“Weapon of Choice” by Fatboy Slim with Christopher Walken:
“Ne me quitte pas” by Regina Spektor:
“Sabotage,” Beastie Boys:
“Hurt”–Johnny Cash version of Nine Inch Nails song:
Yes. For lip synching at the very least.
Dead link. Since you gave no hint about who or what you were talking about, your post was a complete waste of everybody’s time, including yours.
And my favorite is this video for Savin’ Me, which would make a pretty good Twilight Zone episode. Yes, it’s Nickleback. So sue me.
