No, I think she was just listing examples of verified trolls.
That said, I did think it possible that Carol Stream and Morella were the same person. And apparently I missed Morella’s outing as a troll (as she’s on my ignore list). Is she banned?

Wait…
checks real quick
Wow! I guess that explains the lovely warm feeling I had out of nowhere earlier this year. I didn’t know Carol Stream got banned. ![]()
Oh, for the love of Mike, NO! I don’t mean to imply that any of these posters are socks of anyone at all. I’m merely pointing out a single simlarity between Morella and CS, and that rachelellogram does not share that characteristic.
Yes. She got banned for something or other (I’m not clear on the details) and almost immediately created a sock, for which she was banned again. It’s this, in fact, that seals my opinion that she wasn’t Carol Stream.
You honestly think that someone who says that personal freedom is more important than sanitation is not either deeply stupid or a troll? :dubious:
Quite.
Exactly. I have no problem expressing an opinion that I think will piss you off, and I may even delight in the fact that it pisses you off, but I *won’t *pretend to an opinion I don’t hold for that purpose.
Also, I’ve been feeling the need for a new title, so I’m stealing “extreme gusto.” ![]()
Yes, but you seem intent on dismissing “deeply stupid.” Ideologues have severe blind spots when it comes to their ideology when they might otherwise be pretty rational.
Well, usually if you point out the fallacies, they grudgingly acknowledge them but deny their relevance–they don’t take a swim in the shit.
Are there in-and-out privileges?
And there are weird fluids spilled on the floors…
And if you yell in there, it echoes…
Too far?
The quote, even out of the context of the thread, doesn’t make a particularly good impression on me. But I’m usually reluctant to make an “honestly thought” judgement of a poster based on any single post from a thread I haven’t read.
So, I’m gonna pass on that one. The threads to which she’s contributed which I have read, do not activate my troll-dar (such as it is).
I do it often as I’ve discovered a lot of dense people cannot keep track of their own words let alone follow a rebuttal.
TL:DR
The fact that SFG keeps bringing up my weakly-held apathy regarding litter on the street in unrelated threads is amusing, but not particularly topical. It’s strange. And the level of her antipathy borders on pathetic. Does she care this strongly when strangers disagree with her favorite food, as well?
For the record, my opinion on littering or cigarette butts/peeing in the street is that, while I don’t contribute to either activity, I am not in the least bothered by those who do. The key point being: I do not litter. I stated that multiple times. I simply don’t care if others choose to litter (in much the same way as I’m not particularly bothered by politics, I don’t care who votes, and I’m not in the least concerned what anyone’s favorite color is different from mine). But she’s taken it unto herself to persecute me based on this perceived thoughtcrime.
I don’t pretend to understand SFG’s level of crazy. I’d disengage from it, but I’m still having fun. And really, isn’t that what the internet is all about?
Curious about something: Do you care if litter gets cleaned up?
P.S> There are molre fun things to do around here that poke at Dopers you don’t take a shiine to.
Boy, that was some ugly keyboarding; let me try it again:
P.S. There are other fun things to do around here besides poke at Dopers you don’t take a shine to.
If it was something that negatively affected my day to day life, I might care. As it is, seeing a driver flick a butt out the window or butts in the gutter does not send me into fits of apoplectic rage.
I have an expectation, I suppose, that it always will be cleaned up because our tax dollars pay for sanitation jobs. I can realize that I take it for granted, but I don’t see any reason to start caring about it unless the situation were vastly different. Obviously if EVERYONE started pooping on the street, we might have a problem. But I don’t poop on the street and I’m not bothered by the few people or animals who do.
I guess a good way to summarize it is, I care enough not to litter myself. I don’t care enough to try to command people to agree with me. I very rarely indulge in moral outrage; I pick my battles.
And allow me to correct your postscript: I’m poking back at someone who didn’t take a shine to me.
Having a good time with the one you picked to start this thread?
A pubic garage.
You give the impression that you only care about yourself.
Do you have to go into a fit of appol.. apopop.. alopot.. ..a fit of rage? How about just acknowledging that it’s wrong to litter?
Don’t you agree that tax dollars could be better spent?
How vastly different does it need to be for you to give a damn enough to simply admit that littering is wrong?
Why should anyone poop on the street? And what’s with the poop analogy? I am trying to eat a sandwich.
It doesn’t send you into an apoanostic rage? When people poop on the street? Animals? What?
We’re waiting..
You claim this but don’t care about litter or littering? And you can’t see that makes no sense?
I agree. You don’t.
It’s a basic issue of common sense. Littering is no ones right, we all have to live with it. Even if you’re not in a apocyliptic rage about it. You not giving an apocilic animal poop means you’re part of the problem.
You are a moral outrage and a appossumlickic one at that.
That’s not all you pick, you selfish apolic picker. Look at this mess! Who’s going to clean it up? Our tax dollars at work again?
You poke? Um, what are you doing this Saturday night?
le shrug Six of one, half dozen of the other; by now it’s looking pretty mutual. Personally, I think the two of you should just get a room… ![]()
