R.I.P. Fred Morrison (Frisbee inventor)

I have many memories of awesome afternoons and even whole weekends spent playing Frisbee. I played Ultimate for five or six years during and after college, and still occasionally go out and just toss one around.

I couldn’t even count the hours of awesome I’ve had thanks to Mr. Morrison’s invention.

R.I.P. Fred; you done good while you were here.

Is it true that his ashes will be left on a roof top somewhere just out of reach?

Especially… you know, for kids.

LOL :D:D:D

O .

When balls dream, they wish they were frisbees.

I’ve spent endless hours playing disc golf, ultimate, double-disc court, doing freestyle, and just playing catch. Thanks for making all that possible, Fred!

I loved playing Ultimate in college. I wish I still had that kind of energy … and ability.

No. He was the Pope of the Church of the Ultimate Frisbee. His soul went up on the garage roof.

Next to George Carlin’s.

I think his ashes will be on that roof, but his soul will rise up and up, until suddenly snatched from the ether by a happy dog.
