Jay Sandrich has died at 89. You’ve seen his name in many sitcom credits, especially The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Cosby Show and The Golden Girls, among many others. Mr. Sandrich directed “I hate spunk”, and is responsible for reversing Betty White’s and Rue McClanahan’s roles on The Golden Girls.
