He made a huge number of appearances in movies and TV. I’m sure everyone must be familiar with him.
One thing I didn’t know was that he was a “blacklisted” actor thanks to the McCarthy mentality of the 1950’s.
The IMDB bio mentions it, but his newspaper obits left out the fact that his wife passed away during the Oscar ceremony he was attending with the rest of the cast of “Prizzi’s Honor”.
Aw. Damn. He was in everything. (He played Roseanne’s dad in Roseanne.) Also played as the older Rock Hudson character in Seconds. He was a very good actor.
