Radio Days: The MMP

Happy Sunday!

It’s a grey, gloomy, looks like rain day.

I seem to have a knack for pissing off mom on Sunday mornings, I should probably stay in my room.

Nothing on the agenda to day except irk irk irk.
I’ll need to send off an email to the mortgage company.

Have a good N.O.L Swampy

FCM I don’t envy you making those decisions. I may be doing it myself soon. Too many options makes my head spin.

Happy Sunday!

Slept in after spending the evening in a piano bar with a friend at the keys. Now I’m caffeinating and fixing to put a bird to roast for N.O.L. I believe I’ll steam some brown rice, fix some squish, columorbus and sliced maters to go with and fresh peaches for dessert.

Is that rolling hay or a roll in the hay?
Last night, being the last night, the main attraction in the arena is the mud bog. They flood it & the 4-wheel drives try to drive thru.
However, before the main event, the females are allowed to pay $20 to enter the tin can contest. Pays your money, get a t-shirt & go wading thru the 3’-4’ deep mud pit trying to be the first to get the tin can that contains $500. Imma tellin’ ya, redneckery at it’s finest!

Another dreary day, so I don’t see a lot being accomplished. We went to breakfast, then ran by WalMart and I got a scarf for my trip. I’ve now got 5 to add some color and print to my otherwise bland outfits. Normally I don’t much care, but we’re expected to make a little effort for the dining room, and this is as little as I can make.

We further discussed the cable/phone/internet situation and I think we’ve decided to drop land line and drop one tier of cable TV. **FCD **wants a flip phone with bluetooth that doesn’t cost a small fortune, so I’ll do some searching on line. Since we’re pay-as-you-go, we don’t get the freebies for signing up for years of service.

I think today may be chocolate cake day. Baking is easy.

Is it sad that I knew exactly what clip that was without clicking on the link?

Brunch is eaten, bathroom is clean, Time to walk the dog, then laundry time!

FCM, I dropped my land line a few years ago. All I ever got was spam calls anyways.

I looked at the date and realized that 41 years ago today, I reported to boot camp! Some of the memories of that day are as vivid as if they happened last week. Somewhere among my stuff, I have a journal that I kept thru bootcamp. I need to make an electronic copy. Maybe it should be a book…

And… By the time I read through everyone’s notes FCM doesn’t need to know about DirecTV no more. Sigh. I have had them here and in MO, and had no issues. Had more issues with Comcast during boomers than DTV. In terms of rate hikes, if you’re still considering them, so far it’s not been an issue. If it comes up, I mention Comcast, they say “will you stay if we”… I am prepared to go back to Comcast if I have to. Might as well get what you want, if you can get your price.

I haz opinions.

Sorry, **Sunny **- When I first posted yesterday, we were really confused at all the options. As we researched more and considered various possibilities, our choice became clearer. I do wish cable TV offered you the option to pick and choose channels - I’d eliminate all the shopping channels, all the music channels, Fox News, CSPAN, and if it was entirely up to me, all the sports channels would go too. In fact, my list might have 2 dozen channels total… But the spousal unit watches lots more than I do, so his opinion carries a bit more weight there.

It’d be sadder if you didn’t

Howdy Y’all! I’ve deheathenated, had a great N.O.L., and napped. Not a bad day at all so far.

MOOOOOOM you should definitely write the book. I foresee best seller, teevee miniseries, blockbuster Hollywood movie, and a weekly teevee show.

But she won’t be able to watch the weekly TV show because she won’t be getting that channel
I think the birds in my butterfly bush are baby finches, they aren’t that much smaller than the adults but they sure are clumsy. The sun is out.
I’m sleepy and could use a nap.

Deja vu all over again!

My blood sugar bottomed out at irk today. Three slices of pizza and one Dr. Pepper later, I’m feeling a bit better. Stupid body.

Nom nom nom! Early supper was really good - tarragon chicken salad, cuke salad, Amish corn. Chocolate cake for later. Stuffded!!!

Spaz yikes! Glad you’re on the mend.

Sari if MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM is gettin’ all the royalties from the book, miniseries, movie, and teevee show, she can afford the cable to watch the show. See, it all works out!

Wonder if’n I’ll even want dindin. Still kinda full from N.O.L. Perhaps some watermelon.

Done for the day - I’m gonna knit. MWAH!!

Today was the 2 year anniversary of my last ride on Bob the Wonder Pony. Had to retire him and as you all know, he crossed the bridge on New Year’s Eve. Anyway, a work acquaintance invited me to go on a trail ride today and I went and really enjoyed it. BTWP never like trails–there were THINGS out there. I did not realize til after we were done that this was the anniversary. I know BTWP was looking out for me. Made din-din which was to die for. Dr. Osengarten - Welcome to DrOsengarten.com I don’t know how to do the cutie linkety link. If you like chicken. prosciutto and cheese, make this.

Wetone how could one NOT like chicken, prosciutto, and cheese? Glad you had a good day rememberin’ BTWP.

I et a grilled cheese sammich and some water melon. 'Twas good.

I think I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Surprise burst of sanitation over here. Both the bird and the cat are much happier with newly cleaned cage/box respectively (although the cat disapproved of various unusual activity). I think I may also have a solution to the “where to put that bulletin board” problem.

Chinese BBQ chicken, ginger rice, and stir fried green brand and shrooms for dinner. Watching preseason football(“handegg” for you furriners  )

Yay for clean cages, Nettie! I cleaned my bathroom today.

glad you enjoyed the ride, Wetone.

Spaz, glad you’re OK. Take care of yourself.
