Rainy Day Wedding Guest Questions

If you were attending a wedding on a very rainy day:

  1. How early would you arrive?
  2. What if you looked at the forecast and realized you could avoid the rain by showing up X minutes/hours early? Is it rude to be too early?
  3. If it’s raining outside, do the guests still wait for the bride to walk down the church/temple/courthouse steps?
  4. Is it ok to wear a coat to a wedding. I mean a big everyday raincoat, not a wispy wrap
  5. Is there such a thing as a formal umbrella, or can I carry my huge rainbow golf umbrella and knock relatives over with it
  1. It’s just rain. Arrive when you feel is appropriate to the wedding.

  2. People get married in the winter all the time. Coats are coats. Clean and neat are the rules, not “big” or “wispy”.

  3. Hi Opal!

I know it’s old, but I’ve never had the opportunity to properly use it.
