Raise a last glass for chef Keith Floyd

Keith Floyd died today of a heart attack, following a battle with cancer.

I shall do all my cooking this week whilst supping a large glass of wine.

Keith Floyd was the best of the tv chefs. I too enjoy cooking with a glass of wine in hand.

He will be missed, for his open and unpretentious style and his great recipes.

I’m firing up “Peaches” on the music player right now, in tribute.

Aww, I loved his cooking shows. He was really engaging. We’ll raise a toast!

Whenever I wanted to truly impress, I would whip up KF’s Fricasee of Young WIld Boar.

The world is worse without him. And I would imagine there are mass panic lay-offs in the French wine industry too.

Particularly prescient scheduling on the part of Channel 4. It appears Floyd died shortly after sitting down to watch the documentary about him on Monday night.

Its appropriate that his going was after a good meal with wine, doubt that we’ll see any more celebrity chefs of his individuality again.
