Hey! I was just thinking that! Now, if would be cool if they could change the little online buttons next to the names of the charter members into a star shape. Then, the could offer to change the plain member’s buttons for a dollar, and then…well, you guys know the story.

I lost my Charter Member pseudo-status a while back because I hadn’t paid in time last year but I was really hoping to be able to take advantage of the discount.

Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! I got an email on the 25th and went to reup only to be interrupted by the phone. It completely skipped my mind until tonight.
Like others, the extra money I can live with, but I’m bumming about the loss of the word “charter.” Now I will forever be seen on the Dope as a woman who can’t remember to resubscribe on time.
But I really do pay my other bills on time and my credit is good. I promise!
I knew I would be a dumbass, so a year ago, when I subscribed the first time, I set an Outlook reminder for about a week ago.
Then I hit Dismiss instead of Snooze. :smack:

Got the email. Went “Oh crap! Is it time already?”. Got on the fucking ball and sent it in.

Well, I saw the notices to renew, but figured I’d just do it the next time I posted after expiring. Didn’t worry about having to send the Reader a little more of my money. Didn’t think that’d mean that I would lose my ‘Charter’ title. That’s kinda lame. Why don’t they just have an auto-renew option that could be chosen, anyway?
