I’ve got a miserable 411 (well, now I have 412, and I’ll soon have more, I’m sure, since I’m still procrastinating away until my lab meeting at 3:30.) So I guess it’s OK.
If I’ve still not been pitted after 2588 posts, I’ll start to worry. But for now, I’m breathing a sigh of relief. I’m still pitworthy.

Err, how would you know? :dubious: Hmm, okay, we’ll give this one last go. If you’ve never been pitted, you’re not offending anyone. Even if you think you are, you’re obviously not. At least not enough to warrant a pitting. Nobody cared enough to start a pit thread about it, right?
I sometimes get that impression myself. 
Regardless of the reason, I haven’t been pitted (as far as I know). I think my 2000-odd posts (plus those lost in the Dark Times) are enough of a sample to indicate that I seldom (if ever) post anything flameworthy.
I think that’s a good thing.

Well, I’ve never been personally Pitted. But recently there was a Pit thread about some very poor behavior on the part of a few Dopers, including me. I don’t know if that counts, since I apologized and because my name wasn’t mentioned more than a couple times in the thread anyway.
“Being pitted” refers to having a thread about yourself in the The BBQ Pit forum on this message board. These threads are usually personal attacks.
I’ve never been pitted. I guess it’s because I’m just a boring hacker geek.
Hm, tempting! I’ve never opened one on someone, though. Actually, I was thinking of searching on some of the names in here to make sure people aren’t… mistaken.
