Hi squeegee, here’s the glossary from ATMB; it includes the definition of the MMP. It’s been going on every week for more than 5 years IIRC. If you look for the thread in MPSIMS that contains MMP in the title, you’ll find us. Here’s this week’s MMP..
Even though it starts with one topic, there are usually multiple conversations going on, some non sequiturs, and general chaos. Some days it sounds like a whole bunch of blogs blended together. Some people read every post, some just read the OP and then a few of the latest posts. (Of course, some people avoid it like the plague; it’s not everyone’s cuppa.) There are really no rules. Except that we’re nice, dammit!

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I didn’t realize it started here on the SDMB – I hadn’t noticed “MMP” threads until just a month or two ago, and I’ve been coming here forever, so I figured it was some external meme that showed up. Thanks for setting me straight.
