Rap song consisting of almost nothing but the n-word

Sounds like Real Nigga Roll Call by Li’l John & Ice Cube. Pretty much every line of the first couple verses ends the same.

Lyrics.

Well, it would be a lot more interesting if it was Klezmer rather than rap.

I’m not clicking on the link, because I would be too disappointed if it isn’t sung to the tune of the old Dr. Pepper commercial.

Shodan

So, is “nigga” generally more acceptable than “nigger”?

This could easily lead to a hijack, so you might want to start another thread if you’re curious about the answer. In short, the answer probably depends on whom you’re asking.

Within the black community, the answer to your question is generally yes, although there are many (usually older) blacks who don’t tolerate either.

You as a white dude hangin’ in the ATL should not use either in polite society.

Yes, many young black people would say that “nigga” is like gay people or university academics saying “queer”, while “nigger” is like my dad calling our cashier at Target “as queer as a football bat”. Others would disagree.

Is this the song that you were talking about Shark Sandwich ?

Another song that comes to mind is Realest Nigga.

For some reason I thought the OP was describing “Sucka Nigga” by A Tribe Called Quest. But there’s no “motherfuckers” in it.

That song isn’t a gangsta rap song; it’s a study of the entomology of the word.

Dude… black folks ain’t bugs!

:smack:
I knew I was going to get that wrong. Etymology.

My thought too, or maybe “Rough Riders anthem”, but that starts every sentence with that word, not end them with it

How about bats?

They aren’t bugs either.

They fly, right? They’re ugly and hairy, right?

My guess…

Public Enemy- I Don’t Want To Be Called Yo’ Nigga
-note Flavor repeats the word 7x after he spells it out.

It is meant to be offensive; it is Flavor Flav doing what he was always meant to be doing- parodying. Parodying the use of the word in rap, the hype men of rap, the ridiculous materialism in rap.
He has since become a parody of himself obviously, but at one time he was on the good side of that ironic fence.

ETA: **Asimovian ** already called it. Sorry Asimovian, missed it on the first scan through the thread.

No worries; you added a lot more description than I offered. And I was relieved that at least you and Hal Briston knew what I was talking about.

Could it have been Real Niggaz Don’t Die by NWA? Or maybe a newer song with the beginning 20 seconds of this one mixed in to the refrain?

I think the song was Hotstylz feat. Young Joc-Lookin’ Ass Nigga

They say “lookin ass nigga” after every line, but not that clearly…

I don’t honestly see how anyone could be offended by this song…

Nah, just plenty of cartridges.

I’m waiting for elmwood to come in and tell us if any of these are correct!
