It’s a scary commentary on the state of the gene pool when someone thinks that proving he forced his wife to have sex with him would invalidate her Order of Protection against him. You think it’s possible this fellow is actually all that unclear on the concept of consent? Or is it more of a carryover of ancient moldy attitudes along the lines of “See, I had her so she’s mine and nothing else matters”? But that doesn’t make much sense either, since it was no secret that they were married
This is a really good example of how two people see a situation differently. He thought that the tape showed her consenting to sex, which he figured would show she was not afraid of him and there was no reason for a restraining order. She saw rape.
I am not defending the asshole, but it is obvious that he truly believed the sex was consentual or else he would not have showed it to police. Self delusion is a dangerous thing.
