Yes, I share my birthday with President Clinton .
I’m 30 today. I was afraid I would be all verklempt (sp?) about my advancing age and everything, but really I’m felling no emotion at all about it. AFAIAC, today’s just, well, Saturday.
I plan to celebrate this milestone by doing absolutely nothing. And let me tell ya, I’ve had to work hard to be able to do absolutely nothing today: cleaned the house Thursday night, did the laundry last night, etc. so I would have a clean house and no normal Saturday=Laundry Day routine that Mrs. Rastahomie and I normally have. I’m going to spend the whole day alternating between surfing the 'net, watching TV, playing my Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace CD-Rom, and reading The Fellowship of the Ring (see this thread).
So, have a happy Saturday, you all, and here’s hoping I enjoy my birthday/Day Off raises glass of tea and chugs it down
Link repaired by UncleBeer as my personal birthday gift to you. I Hope ya like it.
Sorry that link I posted turned out to be such gibberish. Guess I haven’t mastered vB code just yet . If you’re truly interested, look here in MPSIMS for the “I Need LOTR Help” thread.
Happy Birthday Rasta! You just turned 30? Psycat just turned 30 yesterday too, and I’m going to be 30 next month (BIG HINT!!! September 24 BIG HINT!!!). Enjoy your day of rest.
Mrs. Rastahomie says “oh my gosh I can’t believe she remembered me.” She also sends a big hello to Terry. Man I bet Terry is STILL paying off her credit card from the Springfield get-together."
Of course I remember Leslie. I also notice that she hasn’t registered and started posted as I thought she was going to…you’ll have to whip her into shape, sweets.
Re: Terry’s Spiffled AMEX bill:
Nah…don’t you remember? We were rich that weekend!
When I turned 30 three years ago, I threw myself a party, just to beat all the jokers in my family to the punch. It was fun! Since my birthday is in July, we had a nice barbecue.
It’s the birthdays after 30 that are dull. No real milestones until 40, unless you count 35, at which time you’re old enough to become President of the United States.
Rastahomie, Shadowfox, et al: I, too will be 30 in a little over a month (October 5) and I’m glad it felt like just another day for you guys that already turned.
I’m going to a Tragically Hip concert the night before my b-day (Yay!) and then taking the day off work so me and Mr. Dew can go shopping in Vermont for the day. Isn’t that what old-timers do (besides the concert, that is)? Other than that, I’ll be chain smoking since I’m quitting smoking on Oct. 6.
