I just ran a second search on twickster. She has 1,361 OPs and 23,630 posts, for a 5.7% OP rate.
The search engine says I have ~8500 posts and have started exactly 750 threads, bringig me to 8.8 %.
Statistics show…
7/1 post/thread ratio.
As for lurking I’d stay that’d be roughly 10 times the posting amount so…

Duh, don’t we all. I was blown away by your post count alone. (This from someone who has posted a lot more than most).
I tell myself that as long as I keep my average down below 10 posts a day, I’m okay. (9.84 is *well *under 10.)

(BTW, when listing all the threads “started by” from the Profile page, old board glitches may distort the numbers. It ascribes to me 17 extra threads in which I happened to be the first poster to respond to a damaged thread in which the actual OP was lost.)

I just did a little test. Out of the 100 most recent threads I have participated in, I started exactly 30 of them:
CS: 14
MPSIMS: 6 (2 were locked for being revived zombies)
IMHO: 6
GR: 4
Maybe that’s what gave me the impression of the 70/30 I alluded to in the OP.
Now, as for the overall performance ratio, I’m content with the 95/5 that ShibbOleth authenticated. Recent history is clouding my judgment.
Okay, the poster I was thinking of has 5,678 post. S/he has started 750+ threads older than four years ago, from April 4, 2003 - March 9, 2005.
454 threads started from March 18, 2005 - March 6, 2007
357 threads started between March 11, 2007 and March 9, 2009
So, just the April 2003 until today 1561 threads were started, and I can’t tell how many would have been started between the Dec, 1999 join date and April 4, 2003.
At least 27% or more threads started. Jinx is, IMO, the King (or Queen).
(Jinx has over 750 threads started in GQ alone between November 27, 2002 and March 8, 2005. Mind boggling)
