Re: Can we make this not become a board meme? [reply to ATMB thread]

I don’t know why you think she didn’t sell her art. She most certainly did, and won art shows and stuff. I can’t think of any definition whereby she wasn’t an artist.

Hamlet, I don’t think the exact cause of death has been made public. Her mother indicated that it was an accident at home, but no details.

[li]I like what I’ve seen of her work. It is most definitely art.[/li][li]If I could afford it, I’d buy Burden of Time[/li][li]Bye, Opal.[/li][/ol]

Anyone have a link to her artwork?

It’s very slow at the moment, probably due to an unusually high volume of traffic, but here’s her art website.

You can also see much of her stuff on fine art america, which seems to be running a little better.

I dunno jack about “art”, but I know what I like, and I like many pieces she’s done.

Thanks, WhyNot. As I suspected, they easily meet the definition of “art”.

pat. pat. Hmmm. I still feel like an asshole. Guess I should drink some more, until the feeling passes…

OK, the guy was drunk and all but that rejoinder doesn’t make sense - the opposite in fact. So I hope you were drunk too. Way to insult your grandpa at the same time.

That is, after all, why Thomas Kinkade is universally accepted as the greatest artist of our time.

Catus?
