I was just curious that if the email bounces (thus, and invalid email) and you suspend the person’s posting priveleges, how are they supposed to know what has happened and why?
If one is unable to post, our thought would be that they would email us asking why (was there an error, did they break the rules, is the board broken, whatever). At that point we can work thing out.
There is no harm to a poster who does not try to post; we don’t relabel them or anything.

Generally, I’ll try emailing someone again before removing privileges, unless the reason I mailed in the first place is a VERY serious transgression of the rules.

I used to have Hotmail, and it would turn off by itself after a couple of weeks. But you could get it restarted and not realize you’d lost mail. So I dumped it. Microsoft always comes in late and light on features, and still wins all the customers. How is a mystery to me.
