Re: English laws

Okay, so I’ll admit it. America is a lot bigger then England, that I’m not going to dispute. But why is it that it has more stupid laws(okay so each state has its own laws I get that, btu I’m in mid flow so leave em alone)? I need to find some stupid English laws but I can’t find a useful list anywhere, can anyone help?

Mr Fish, meet Mr Barrel

I’ll start the ball rolling with the law that says that all London cabs must carry a bale of hay - a carry-over from when they were all horsedrawn. And I don’t think the law about Sunday archery practice has been repealed, either.

There’s stupid laws from England, although most of them have recently and quietly been revoked, or couldn’t ever be applied due to precedents and to subsequent laws. You can find plenty of them here: http://www.dumblaws.com/countries/countries.php?Country=England

I could be wrong. And this is not England, (but close). But I think it is a legal obligation to shoot a scotsman on sight here in the Isle of Man.

Cheers, but i’ve already got that website.

I’m not even going to mention these two:

You can only shoot a Welsh person with a bow and arrow inside the city walls and after midnight.

You may not shoot a Welsh person on Sunday with a longbow in the Cathedral Close.

Don’t worry, they only apply in York, and they are voluntary. In this village on teh welsh border you are legally obliged to kill any welsh men you see if you are amred with a longbow(!)
