I’ve watched The Guardian on and off for a few months now and Fallon’s GF and mother of their child, Lulu, seems to be going out of her way to wall her kid and herself off from him while still trying to be kinda-sorta friendly.
From what I’ve seen he’s tried to be as attentive as possible. Was there some major falling out in a show I missed. Is it because he’s insensitive and controlling ?
I think the whole point of the show is that he’s being bombarded with pressure from every direction to become more emotionally involved in everything (His pro bono clients, the partners’ personal problems, etc), and he shows spotty judgment about which emotional burdens to take on and which ones to keep at arms’ length.
This is a wonderful show; I’m surprised it isn’t a lot more popular.
Well, if I recall correctly, when she was first pregnant, he got freaked out and slept with that blonde girl from LuLu’s office. It was a one-time thing, but LuLu found out and was really upset because 1) she was pregnant and 2) she had to face this girl in her office everyday (the girl didn’t know about Nick and LuLu at the time though.)
I think LuLu is still very bitter about this. Although Nick has been going out of his way to make it up to her, I really don’t know why she isn’t being more responsive. I think she should marry him. I thought it was so sweet how in the last episode, when LuLu told him she wanted the baby to have her last name, he got upset…and he said, “I’m upset because this means you don’t want my last name.”
By the way, I looked away for one second last night, and I didn’t find out whether that kid was saved from the death penalty or not? Anyone know?
Also, I missed the episode where the baby was born, is she going to be severely mentally retarded?
I don’t watch the show (poor time slot…I’ll definitely check it out if/when it’s syndicated, though) but what’s wrong with the baby? I remember there being a commerical a while back about a test discovering that there will be a big problem with him or her.
