That must be doubly annoying for Mods, since you especially need to keep track of what you have and have not seen.
But it’s behaving for me today, the first time I’ve logged on in almost two weeks, since we just got back in town.

I don’t know, but it hasn’t happened to me much - only a few times in February.
Again. Now I’m even grumpier than I was when it started sleeting today.
I just caused the problem to happen, but don’t ask me how.
When I signed on everything was great, last visited was yesterday evening and everything looked good in the first board (General Questions).
Then, Firefox hung somehow and I had to reboot the computer. When I got back, last visited was today on all boards.
I assume that someone has looked into how vBulletin knows to mark a user’s threads as read. Presumably it has something to do with me signing off (or just exiting the site), but I don’t think that is always the case. I have noticed a couple of times that if I have to exit quickly, it often has not had any effect on what is marked as read.
I sure hope that someone finds a way to fix the problem because it is relatively new to the boards (certainly within the last couple of months)./

Not “within the last couple of months”: we have been actively complaining about it for 4 months!
and it has been happening, albeit less frequently, for much longer than that.
Just happened.
After a week or so of it not happening, I just got clobbered.
And it’s finally happened again, the first time since I returned home.
Opposite problem for me-The main page and all forum pages say that no one has posted since 0808 hrs…and this is now 0901 hrs PST. Signing out and signing back in didn’t do a thing. I have to actually open individual threads to see if anything new has been added.
I just signed out, used CCleaner to wipe all cookies, signed back in…and the Board is still showing that the last post was at 0808 hours. The only way I know if my current posts went through is to open the thread.
It now says the newest post was 0823 hrs.
Please see announcement above – system is going weird and will be reset at some point. Don’t write anything you expect to see until this is resolved.
