Back to every time again. This seems to go in cycles.
Phooey. Just happened to me again. This is so annoying!
I was last here about 9:00pm (Sydney time). I’ve just logged back in and that’s how I know when I was last here. Now the board tells me I was last here less than a minute ago. Bloody annoying.
OK, now I’ve got the opposite happening!
I know I hit the “mark this forum read” button about 1/2 an hr ago, and I know it registered. Just now I came back and there were 5 or 6 threads highlighted as though they had new posts, but they didn’t.
Bah. So irritating.
I’ve been using tapatalk for android for about a month now and I have the opposite problem, I’ll read a thread and when I come back to that forum the thread is marked unread. After several hours the threads get marked read wether or not I opened them.
Crap! I didn’t even get to open one measly thread before everything changed to ‘read’.
For me as well. Really goddamn annoying.
Just happened yet again.
I’m sure NOW someone will fix it.
And again, goddamn it.
Just happened yet again.
What is the staff doing to solve the issue? It happens to me sometimes as well I have noticed.
And again.
What staff would that be?
The powers that be.
And again.
And again.
I honestly don’t expect the issue to be addressed - the owners of this board do not care.
Knock on wood, I haven’t had it happen in a few days.
And I don’t think it’s so much that TPTB don’t care, but that they don’t have the resources (either people or money or both) to troubleshoot it. Troubleshooting intermittent problems like that can be quite difficult and time consuming.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, it’s been made abundantly obvious that the people who actually own this place don’t give the tiniest bit of a shit about it. They do the bare minimum to keep it running to bring in whatever money the ads and occasional paid membership are worth, but that’s it.
And again, I’m not referring to the mods and admins here - it’s the higher-ups.
And who would that be?
The people with the money. Used to be the Chicago Reader. I haven’t kept track of who’s been bought or sold to who in the last few years.
